Aygo is a small car or city car produced by Toyota, Peugeot and Citroen in a joint venture called TPCA. It was introduced for the first time in Geneva motor show in 2005.
The Aygo comes in a 3 door as well as a 5 door hatchback version. The car is available with 2 types of engines, the 3 cylinder, 1.0 L VVT-i engine with a power of 68 bhp and a diesel 1.4L HDi engine rated at 54bhp.
The car is aimed to be a small city car. It has a small wheel base of 2340 mm and a length of 3405mm, height of 1465mm. It is in league with most of the city cars coming nowadays. The car has a dry weight of 1741.65 lbs and a curb wt of 1962.11lb. It has excellent internal furnishings and a very decent instrument cluster. The car has an independent front suspension having coil springs and a semi independent torsion beam based rear suspension. The price range of the car lies between 7,230 pounds to 9,080 pounds.
Aygo has a reliable yet frugal 3 cylinder engine. This gives the car a very low running cost. The target age group of the car is mid-20's. So the design is modern and sporty. The car has very good handling and gives a very smooth ride to the passengers owing to the excellent suspension.
Aygo comes in 3 grades. The Aygo, the Aygo+ and the Aygo sport.
