The Toyota Dyna is a small sized commercial truck mostly sold in Japan. The Dyna is similar to another truck from Toyota Motor Corp. called the Toyoace.
The Dyna debuted in 1959. Over the years the Dyna has had different model numbers such as the BU series with BU20, BU21, BU22, BU23, BU25, BU30, BU31, BU32, BU33, BU34, BU35, BU36, BU37, BU40, BU41 and BU50 model; RU series with RU20, RU22, RU25, RU30 and RU32 models; HU series with the models HU26, HU30, HU40 and HU50; the WU series with WU26, WU40 and WU50 and the JU20 model from the JU series.
The Dyna is fitted with Toyota diesel engines ranging from B 2977cc, 2B 3168cc, 3B 3431cc, H 3576cc, 2H 3980cc diesel engines and 5R 1994cc petrol engine. The Dyna BU series came with with a five speed gearbox. Dyna was marketed with a no of variants such as small wheelbase trucks, large wheel base trucks as well as Vans.
The new Dyna small truck comes with a 2000cc gasoline engine with 5 speed manual transmission. The price range of the truck is around 15,000USD. A larger version the Dyna 100 is available having a 2.5 litre D-4D CRD-i turbo diesel engine. Other models in the new range are Dyna 150, 200, 250, 300, and 350.
