Premio

The Toyota Premio is a mid sized sedan. The car was launched in december 2001 to replace the Toyota Corona Premio, a trim of the Toyota Corona. The Premio is related to Toyota Allion.
The powertrain of the car features a choice of 1.5L, 1.8L and 2.0L DOHC inline 4, 16 valve gasoline engine. The sedan is available as a front wheel drive with 4 speed automatic transmission. The 1.8L variant is available with 4WD option too. Although most of the variants have a default automatic transmission, the 2.0L version is available only with manual CVT transmission. The 2.0L 1AZ-FSE engine gives an max power of 112kw @6000 rpm and max torque of 200Nm@4000rpm. The 1.8L 1ZZ-FE engine has max power output of 97kw@6000rpm and max torque of 170Nm @ 4000 rpm whereas the 1.5L 1NZ-FE engine has a max power of 80kw @ 6000rpm and torque of 141Nm @ 4200rpm.
The built quality and interiors of the Premio are commendable. The boot space is quite big. There is enough leg room for the rear passengers to sit comfortably. The car is built like an upmarket luxury vehicle. The engines are very responsive and the good suspension offers a smooth ride even in bad roads.
