The Toyota Rush is a mini SUV. The car replaced the Daihatsu Terios, which was of the previous generation of the Rush. The Rush was launched in 2006 and was also known as Huali Dario Terios, Toyota Cami and Perodua Kembara. In Japan, it is known as Toyota Rush and the Daihatsu Be-go. The first generation of the vehicle was launched as the Daihatsu Terios in 1997. The four door mini SUV was similar to the Suzuki SX4 and Mitsubishi Pajero. The car was known in different markets with different names. It was also called Toyota Cami in Japan, Daihatsu Taruna in Indonesia, Perodua Kembara in Malaysia. The engine type was 1.3L K3-VE SOHC inline 4 engine with option of 4 speed automatic and 5 speed manual gearbox. The Terios was a 4WD vehicle. Another model, the Terios Kid was launched in Japan which was much smaller than the original Terios. In 2000, the Terios was upgraded. Apart from the external upgradations in design and body, the new Terios had a new 1.3L DOHC engine, replacing the older 1.3L SOHC. The second generation vehicle of the Terios was launched in 2006. The new vehicle was called Daihatsu Be-go and Toyota Rush in Japan. Also known in other markets as Huali Dario Terios , Toyota Cami and Perodua Kembara, the car featured a new powerful 1.5 L 3SZ-VE inline 4 engine. The diesel version of the Rush would be launched in 2007. |
