Toyota Wish is an MPV or a minivan from the Toyota Motor Company. The car was first released in 2003 and is still under production. The minivan is a mid sized vehicle with a passenger capacity of seven. The van is itched against the Nissan Liberty or the Honda Stream. The vehicle is sold in Japan as well as many Asian countries such as Thailand, Malaysia, Taiwan, etc. The first generation of the Wish minivan was launched in Japan in January 2003. The car was equipped with a 1.8L engine of the 1ZZ-FE series. Another more powerful 2.0 L engine was fitted to the larger 7 seater version of the Wish which was inducted into the market in April of the same year. The transmission was 4 speed automatic. The car was also launched in Thailand and Taiwan in 2004 and was almost similar to its Japanese variant. In 2005, the Wish was given a facelift with new improved bumpers, head and tail lights and a few changes made to the interiors. Also, improvements were made on the transmission of the vehicle. The car also featured a new electronic throttle system. Since its inception, the car has been a hit in most of the asian markets where it was launched specially in Japan.The new version of the minivan was also very well received although these have been a few voices raised over the new electronic throttle system which is said to be less responsive than the previous system. .
